Our Mission

We foster critical thinking, creativity, and character development while celebrating the unique talents and potential of each child in our care.
OUR STORY
Thirty years of striving for excellence
Our story began on a memorable Monday morning, September 5, 1994, when our doors first opened to welcome 219 eager students across Grades 1 to 3. With eight dedicated teachers and a community filled with hope and determination, we embarked on a journey that has transformed countless young lives. Today, three decades on, Greater Portmore Primary stands as one of the most respected primary schools in St. Catherine.

“This is our school. Let peace dwell here, let every room be full of contentment, Let love abide here, love of one another, Love of mankind, love of life itself, and love of God. Let us remember that, as many hands build a house, so many hearts make a school.”
